Creating your very own family day care environment is exciting, rewarding and can be an excellent form of income. FDC is an excellent way to work from home with your own children included in the group you are caring for.
You will set your own days, times and rates you charge, running the business as your own under the guidance and support of an experienced and nurturing coordinator.

To become a family day care educator, providing care for children in your own home, means that you will modify your home to intentionally create a safe and inspiring learning environment. Your home will be inspected and checked by your coordinator to ensure it meets all requirements.
You will need to hold a minimum qualification of Certificate III in early childhood education, or and ACECQA recognised equivalent.
You will need your own ABN, insurance, Ochre Card and National Police Check. Any other adults living in the house will also require these checks.
